There are MANY kids who grow up with mothers and fathers… and STILL become criminals, delinquents, unsuccessful, detriments rather than uplifting members of society. I was raised with two LOVING parents, just so happened it was a man and a woman. A child doesn’t need heterosexual parents to be functioning members of society. A child needs LOVE, affection, moral teaching, proper discipline, freedom to create, imagine, believe, understand, fall then rise again. A child needs to be taught HOW to live the best life possible. Who that comes from, be it a SINGLE MOTHER, SINGLE FATHER, HETEROSEXUAL, OR HOMOSEXUAL COUPLE, doesn’t matter.
Marriage should be between a man and a woman only just like black people should go to the back to get their food and to separate water fountain to get water and to the back of the bus to get a seat… just like women shouldn’t be able to earn as much as male coworkers, must always submit to men, and can never break the glass ceiling… just like if they dress “sexy” they were asking for it, just like if they get drunk, it was consenting sex. Human rights and common decency and respect are no different, NO MATTER WHO IS INVOLVED. I’m a born again Christian, a believer of God, and ALWAYS a defender of those judged and condemned by unscrupulous people who know no better.
I’m just wondering why you should give a damn what someone with a different sexual preference decides to do with his or her life. Gay people aren’t hurting me, costing me money, delaying my economic progress, impeding upon my opportunity to pursue happiness as so kindly “promised” by this “great” nation. Why are people lining up to fight people wanting to express love to one another? Why aren’t they lining up for REAL issues? Why do they deem it appropriate to curse human beings and rebuke them in JESUS’ name as if they know what God thinks? How can you be told to love your neighbor but if he’s gay tell him he’s going to hell and he doesn’t have the same rights as you do? I would rather spend my life respecting ANY gay person’s “life choice” or “born sexual identity,” treating them like human beings, loving them as I am SUPPOSED TO if I am a TRUE CHRISTIAN, meet with God at the gates of Heaven and let HIM ask me why I did that than find out I spent my life as a bigot, hypocrit of human respect and common decency and ALL this Earthly drama about “man and woman can only form a unity in love before God” crap was just a test to see if I really WALKED THE WALK OF MY FAITH, or whether I was just a typical churchgoer and regurgitator of Scripture, living my life condemning people with the words of God. I’m not saying it is right or wrong to be gay but we don’t have the RIGHT to deny them ANYTHING! You are no better than the people you walk by each day, none more blessed than the other. Whether gay or straight or whatever, we are ALL born from a womb, hopefully raised in a loving environment, expected to be gracious, loving, hardworking people.
